We have been working for months to store, divide, and count our dahlia tubers. We are so happy to have nearly 200 varieties to offer in this year's sale! We were hoping to offer more but we are holding back much of our nearly 400 dahlia varieties to build stock for next year's sale. We will have so many rare ones for 2027's tuber sale!

Be swift in checking out, the variety is not yours until payment is completed.

Each listing is for one dahlia tuber. Each tuber will have an eye (growth point) and be in great condition at time of shipping. 

 

This is an online pre-sale. Our local pickup window has passed. All orders will be shipped. No orders are accepted for those outside of the continental United States.

 

QUALITY 

We grow with organic practices and are pesticide/herbicide free. All dahlias are grown on our farm with no imports or third-party offerings; this is to ensure that each dahlia is healthy and up to our standards. We are very strict in sanitation practices when cutting and dividing by using a 10% bleach solution soak per American Dahlia Society guidelines. We never sell plants that appear to be diseased. Spending countless hours walking fields, tending plants and inspecting continually helps us make sure you get the very best product the market has to offer. This is a very labor-intensive process, but stewardship and integrity are the bedrock of how we do business.

 

Research is showing that box stores and wholesale dahlia tubers are around 87% infected by viruses. 87%!! If we have a diseased plant, it is appropriately mitigated per industry standards and destroyed. Here at SFF, quality is serious as all have experienced the heartache of diseased tubers. We are committed to do everything in our power to prevent that from happening to you. These plants are our babies, and we will not sell anything less than the highest quality!

 

LABELING

We triple label our tubers. Once the dahlia blooms as a fourth confirmation, we cross-check that the bloom matches industry photo records and is indeed the accurate variety.

 

SHIPPING

0-5 tubers - $12.00 shipping & handling fee

6+ tubers - $15.00 shipping & handling fee

We will begin shipping out orders around mid-April, weather permitting. We certainly don't want your tubers to freeze in transit so we will monitor the weather closely for optimum shipping conditions. You will receive shipping confirmation and a tracking number at time of shipping. We will combine shipping automatically and refund you the difference at time of packing/shipping.

When you receive your order, you have 48 hours to notify us of any issues with your purchase. All Package/Shipping related damages or mishandling will need to be resolved with the shipping company. We are not responsible for poorly handled packages in shipping. Our shipping team works very hard to make sure packages are well-cushioned prior to shipping.

We will not be responsible for virus and disease issues. Our tubers are continually checked for disease. Our motto is "When in doubt, throw it out" - we vigorously adhere to that. Disease origin is nearly impossible to determine. It could be from the purchaser's soil or handling. There is no way to determine origin other than through expensive testing which we are not able to accommodate at this time. If we can reassure you, we had zero gall in the fields last year. 

 

If you receive a wrongfully labeled tuber, please let us know within the same growing season. We will credit you the cost of the tuber. Please email us pictures of the tuber clearly showing the name of the tuber on the white tag provided with the tuber variety clearly written at purchase to verify validity. As stated above, we quadruple confirm our tuber varieties so this will be an exceedingly rare occurrence.

NOTE: ​Tubers may have a cut on the end of the tuber (bottom). This is a great way for us to check if there is any degradation in the tuber when dividing. We never sell mother tubers.
